Black Light Ball (unifinished)
This is another Live Digital Painting piece I did in New York recently. This one is interesting because I think there’s potential in the piece, but the process of it is more interesting than the final image. I have been exploring ideas recently about how the the process of creating is a piece of art in and of itself. This is why I post unfinished work on this blog, and it’s why I make these videos. I think it’s interesting, and I think it challenges the idea that art has to have a specific kind of presentation to have a certain value. I’m exploring these ideas, and I think every digital painter is exploring and pushing these boundaries as well. I think that art, by definition, can’t be a certain thing or look a certain way, so why would value be attached to a medium or presentation? I don’t believe that it ever has to be.
