I recently went to a presentation by the people who started Giveback.net. Giveback is a site where you can read and rate news, articles, and more that other users post. This is great for those of us who don’t trust most of the media. Now my news is vetted by the people I trust, my community and friends.

Giveback also sponsors different charitable causes. Their latest cause is a group in Tibet that is providing basic needs to people who are going through India, to cross the border through the mountains into Tibet to help the effort there. Freq Nasty, one of the founders, did a mashup track with Bassnectar, and I’ve done a Video Portrait to go along with the music. It will be featured soon on the site, and available for download soon after.
