DANGERMARC

The actress Olivia Wilde commissioned a Video Portrait from me recently. She is now best known for her role on House as “Thirteen” (continuing the trend of good looking female actresses with numbers for names, you trekkies know what I mean) and as Princess Inana in the upcoming “The Year One” with Jack Black. She also starred in Alpha Dog, Turistas, and on TV’s The Black Donnellys (which also starred Voyager’s Captain Janeway, another bonus for you trekkies). This was a lot of fun to do, of course, and Olivia couldn’t be more sweet and down to earth.

I was also fortunate enough to have an amazing photo to work from. Tao Ruspoli took a photo of Olivia, which I used as the basis of my painting. I don’t manipulate photos, I have one in front of me while I paint, and Tao’s work is amazing to work from. I’m working on another one from him now, they’re great.
