Portrait Process
People often ask what my process is. It’s pretty simple.
- Thumbnail (pencil/pen and paper)
- Sketch (pencil and paper, or digital pencil)
- Value comp (digital composition in black and white values)
- Paint (digital)
Here is a sample of a Sketch, Value, and in progress painting. This is for a portrait for a talented actor/director/producer/writer in San Francisco.
